Having and Being a Difference maker is a thing…

The Difference Maker Project

An “out of the box” vision to create a community centerpiece for sharing, showing, and highlighting love, honor, and respect for one another. We are all called to be Difference Makers.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

I Needed A Little Joy

Our sweet friend had given us 19-20 trees after we had created a beautiful and lovely backdrop for a young bride who desperately wanted to honor her mother anyway possible. The idea sparked to create a backdrop of trees to incorporate the mother’s love for nature and trees. The beautiful couple kicked off their forever together with a forest of trees behind them.

After storing the trees away, and the excitement to have the trees available should an idea or a God prompt show up.

In August of 2021, our friend’s husband, lost his battle with cancer and gained his home in Heaven. Still greiving the recent loss of my father and my mother just a few years earlier. I decided I need a little joy, and rembered all the trees I had in storage.

The Beginning

The Start of Honoring Difference Makers

Remembering all those trees, I made a plan to decorate my front yard. I wanted to create something unique and fun for my grandkids, and my soul. With the help of my kids and grandkids, we put up the trees!

In early November, my friend called upset. The lights to their tree had gone out… Her and her husband decorated a tree together when he was first diagnosed after Christmas. The tree and her home took on the Theme of “Joy in the Journey” and the tree had been up and lit since his diagnosis. After ordering and decorating her new tree, we took down the Joy Tree. She offered the Joy Tree for my front yard. After praying for her, and writing in my journal it was clear what I wanted to do to honor all Difference Makers.

The Biggest Difference Maker Is Jesus Christ

NEW ADDITION

The Prayer House

We are excited to annouce the newest addition to The Difference Maker Project, The Prayer House. We have placed a beautiful greenhouse with lots of windows to overlook all of the Differnce Maker Trees. We are eager to have a dedicated space to pray with the community, but to also have an addition for more Differnce Makers.

We encourage our community to think of those who have impacted your lives for the better. Think of those  special individuals who are living, or those who have passed. We also invite you to share your prayer request with us!
